Program Development

Susie is the co-founder and past director of the award-winning Sparx in the City program that leverages the arts to stimulate commerce in Downtown Cleveland. By showcasing regional artists right on the open sidewalks for street-side concerts and city-wide art walks, this program has attracted thousands of visitors to Downtown neighborhoods, branded Cleveland as a creative city, and earned national recognition as an initiative that generates real impact.

Sparx in the City is now housed inside the Downtown Cleveland Alliance, where cultural programming is part of their mission to provide a vibrant urban center.
