“There is no stagnation for her. Like the art she creates, Frazier is at once fired with passion and dimension and meditating on the wisdom nature offers. The yin and yang of these qualities serve the artist well, both in her internal creative process and in her external crusade to help create a world-class arts scene in Northeast Ohio.”
…(Her) organic assemblage, a unique combination of color, shape and texture is ultimately informed by the spontaneity of nature itself. ‘It all stems from the fact that nature has patterns that are very instructional, if we choose to view them that way,’ Frazier observes. ‘They’re about how you deal with change in your own life. Sometimes I’ll put a piece together and things will crack or curl or break, and then I’ll realize that’s actually better. Nature takes control and I’m forced to acquiesce.’
“It’s no surprise, then, that Frazier’s personal philosophy is that ‘change is OK,’ a concept that lives at the core of her artwork, as well as her approach to improving her community.” |
