Inspired by the self-organizing patterns found in nature, Susie creates strong visual and written compositions that bring us closer to the essence of earth.

Each piece is made of authentic nature fragments, which are permanently mounted to a wood support. Through the meditative process of assembling many small pieces, phrases and words come to her as lessons for mindful living. The entire composition is then positioned into a custom-built, shadow box frame, with the final written verse mounted to the back.

 All of Susie's art is deliberately framed without glass in order to allow very small changes to occur to the composition over time. Those slight variations underscore the very premise of her art, which is to remind us to embrace, rather than prevent, the evolution of our own lives.
